Vlokstok’n’barrell ready

Triple Group I winner Volkstok’n’barrell is in outstanding order ahead of his upcoming weight-for-age campaign. The Donna Logan and Chris Gibbs-trained 5-year-old has enjoyed a break since the Queensland winter carnival where he finished third in the Group II Hollindale Stakes before a fourth placing in the Group I Doomben Cup. The Rosehill Guineas, Haunui Farm Classic and the New Zealand Stakes winner is scheduled to have an outing at the Ruakaka trials on October 4 before he resumes in the Group III Lion Red Plate at Rotorua 11 days later. "He’ll run in the Tauranga Stakes on November 12 and then maybe the Captain Cook Stakes at Trentham before the Zabeel Classic at Ellerslie on Boxing Day," said Logan.
