TRACKWORK New Plymouth Trackwork at Pukekura Raceway, Tuesday. Course proper. Track heavy. Markers out 4m. Time honours of the morning went to Iskintaatl­edo who ran an easy 1000m sprinting the last 600m in 39.4. Another win is just around the corner.

The Marilyn Paewai pair of Rosewood and Batchelor Babe did nice work quickening the 600m in 39.9. They are in great form.

The good mare New York Minute was partnered by Red Rascal over 1000m, the last 600m in 40.3. She will get conditions to like on Saturday.

Turncoat and Valencia from the Allan Sharrock barn worked very well over 1000m the last 600m in 40.8. Valencia is a big chance on the home track Saturday.

The Janelle Milllar pair of Hard To Be Humble and Time Bomb worked over a mile, the 600m in

41.1. They are both good chances this Saturday. A Good Deal and Lucky Unicorn, trained by Ilone Kelly, ran 1200m, the last 600 in 40.8. It was strong work.

From the Patterson barn Woodbine Lad was accompanie­d from an unnamed Keeper gelding. They weren’t after time, running 42.1 for the final

600m of a steady 1000m in gallop.

The Richard McCracken trained maiden Tom Lyford was not timed, but pleased the trainer with the way he handled the track. He will likely line up on Saturday too.

On the sand, the Wheeler jumpers were out in force, running three laps before sprinting the last

600m. Their times were Macklemore and Cavalry

40.4, Yardstick and Fair Script 40.5. They go to Te Aroha on Sunday.

Other times for the final 600m on the same were Hoist 41.1. Irish Flame and Capblamo 40.9, and Vencedora 39.5. Irish Flame looks improved by his first up run.
