New Zealand golfer Ryan Fox was hop­ing for a change of luck when he teed off in the sec­ond round of the Ital­ian Open in Mi­lan. Hav­ing spent a frus­trat­ing time in the lead-up to the tour­na­ment af­ter his golf bag went miss­ing fol­low­ing a British Air­ways flight, Fox dropped two shots af­ter he be­lieved a a fan took off with his ball on the par-four eighth hole in the first round. Fox was forced to tee off again, tak­ing a dou­ble bo­gey on the hole af­ter he parred with his sec­ond ball. He tweeted his an­noy­ance af­ter fin­ish­ing at one-un­der-par 70, six shots off the lead jointly held by de­fend­ing cham­pion Francesco Moli­nari, Ki­radech Aphibarn­rat, Jamie Don­ald­son, Alexan­der Bjork, Matt Wal­lace and Ed­die Pep­perell.
