Manly to play in Chch

The Warriors will play an ‘‘away’’ game in Christchurch next June against a Manly Sea Eagles side boasting Canterbury’s Lewis Brown.

Manly will host the Warriors at AMI Stadium on June 5 with a 5pm kickoff. Manly have committed to bringing at least two home games to Christchurch in 2018 and 2019 with an option for a third match in 2020.

Match promoter Justin Wallace was pleased the NRL has agreed to give the fixture the early Saturday timeslot at 5pm to make the match more attractive for families. Last year’s Penrith-Warriors game in Christchurch sold out.
