Vehicle hits paddock

A person was injured when a car crashed into a paddock in Taranaki early on Saturday. A police central communications spokeswoman said emergency services were called to the scene, on Oxford Rd, Okato, about 12.30am. The car had drifted off the road and crashed into a paddock, she said. A St John spokeswoman said the person was taken to Taranaki Base Hospital with minor injuries.
