Dog set for a key role

The Ha¯wera Repertory Society is on the lookout for a medium-sized and well-behaved dog. Not because it’s gone missing, but because they need the pooch to play a key role in a production of Annie next year. ‘‘We’d prefer a labrador or a dog like that, just something that can look like a stray,’’ director Shaun Campbell said. ‘‘It’s traditionally a golden-coloured dog but it doesn’t have to be for the show.’’ They were also on the hunt for singers and dancers, with auditions due to start on December 1 and 2.
