Not impressed

-

From the growing response to date, many people are amazed and concerned when they find out that, without consultation, the Back Beach steps at the Paritutu end have, from half way down, been removed and replaced with an insignificant socalled viewing platform.

People of a younger age can use the sand dune, which is fast eroding away, and will continue to do so, creating an unsafe situation. Older folk now have no access to the beach at this end.

It is, or was, a well-used access and the public have a right to be able to use this end of the beach without the long trek from the south end of the beach.

Attention to this matter is essential.
