NYYC foiled again

The New York Yacht Club have got their America’s Cup test boat foiling as development continues at their Rhode Island headquarters. The American Magic syndicate launched their monohull late last month and haven’t taken long to discover its potential. A brief video has emerged of the black boat up on its foils in a decent breeze and being monitored by chase boats. The boat is believed to be just under the 12m length permitted for test boats under the rules for the 2021 America’s Cup that will be sailed in Auckland. American Magic have veteran New Zealand America’s Cup skipper Dean Barker as a helmsman.
