❚ June 18: 12 Football Ferns players and one former staff member complain about the conduct of coach Andreas Heraf.

❚ June 20: An independent investigation into the Football Ferns’ team environment is launched.

❚ June 29: Chief executive Andy Martin resigns.

❚ July 6: Lawyer Phillipa Muir is appointed to lead the independent investigation. Its scope is widened to consider the conduct and culture of NZ Football more broadly.

❚ July 31: Heraf resigns as Football Ferns coach and technical director.

❚ October 3: Muir review released. Heraf found to have engaged in ‘‘bullying behaviour’’; ExCo found to have been ‘‘too hands off’’.

❚ Week of October 3: ExCo member Jon Ormond resigns, calling the position of president Deryck Shaw ‘‘and potentially the board itself’’ untenable.

❚ October 12: ExCo president Deryck Shaw resigns ‘‘to allow football to move forward’’.

❚ October 23: Northern Football chair Aimee Barwick writes to ExCo expressing no confidence.

❚ October 23: Six other federation chairs write to ExCo expressing a ‘‘low level of confidence’’ but giving their support ‘‘at this stage’’.

❚ November 1: Auckland Football chair Bob Patterson writes to ExCo expressing no confidence.
