Golfer’s wife gets probation
Former US Open winner Lucas Glover’s wife has been sentenced to probation for leaving him with cuts after an alleged attack last year.
Krista Glover, 37, faced battery and resisting arrest charges after turning on her husband in Florida last May after he failed to complete the Player’s Championship at Ponte Vedra Beach.

Glover had avoided a jail sentence, but was given 12 months’ probation, and ordered to complete 25 hours’ community service and submit to substance abuse and mental health evaluations.
Golf World reported last May that a document from the St Johns County Sheriff’s department stated Lucas Glover, 39, was berated by his wife for his poor play (he shot a third-round 78 for a MDF – made cut, did not finish).
In the report Lucas Glover told deputies ‘‘when he plays a bad round of golf, Krista proceeds to start an altercation with him and telling him how he is a loser and a p...y, how he needs to fire everyone, and how he’d better win or her and the kids would leave him and he would never see the kids again.’’
Police noted multiple lacerations to Lucas and his mother, 62, who had blood on her shirt and said she was hit in the chest. Krista told police she had been attacked by Lucas’ mother Hersey Glover, but police reported no visible injuries.
