Pennington wins

Taranaki surfer Ryder Pennington claimed his first win of the season, taking out his division at the grom series event in Whangamata at the weekend. Pennington won the under-14 boys division of the Billabong Grom Series event presented by Oceanbridge. Fellow Taranaki surfers to have success were Tom Butland, who finished second in the under-16 boys division, and Amanda Gouldsbury, who finished fourth in the under-14 girls.
