Thanks for supporting us

-

On behalf of our South Taranaki Neighbourhood Support committee I want to thank the South Taranaki community for supporting and attending our Safety Day in Hawera on Saturday, February 9.

Special thanks to Hawera Intermediate School for the use of its grounds, and to Senior Constable Mark Crawshaw for facilitating this.

We were blessed with fine weather and a wide range of organisations/businesses who provided safety information, demonstrations and special deals. We acknowledge and thank the large number of volunteers who turned out with their organisation/business:

Fire and Emergency NZ, Rural Fire, NZ Police, St John Ambulance, Red Cross, Roadsafe Taranaki, Health Shuttle, RRT (Rapid Relief Team), More FM, Plunket, Patea Community Patrols, Rescue Helicopter, CB Norwood, Kim’s Homemade Products, Advanced Automotive, Fonterra, Scentsy, Cook’s Honda, Mr Kool, CJ the Clown.

As a volunteer organisation we are dependent on external funding, and appreciate the Rapid Relief Team’s involvement, for the wonderful food and drink they provided, and their donation to South Taranaki Neighbourhood Support.

Wendy Foreman, South Taranaki Neighbourhood Support co-ordinator
