Thanks again

Following another extremely successful book fair, the Ha¯ wera branch of the NZ Society of Genealogists wish to thank the public from throughout Taranaki for their generosity and support in donating books during the year and attending the book fair.

We also acknowledge the assistance from members of St John , both cadets and senior members, and volunteers who helped with packing up and transporting remaining books back to our storage facility. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Funds raised will pay for digitising the Ha¯ wera and Normanby Star newspapers from 1925-1934 for inclusion in Papers Past – The National Library of New Zealand’s online collection of early New Zealand newspapers. This free site is accessible worldwide.

We look forward to seeing you in Ha¯ wera at next year’s book fair.
