Michael Llewellyn, Eight Ball Pool & Darts, tomorrow

Llewellyn and backing band the Darlings from Wellington visit New Plymouth on their nationwide tour supporting the release of their debut record Oh My Darling. Tickets available through Under The Radar. Doors open at 8pm.

The Wiggles, TSB Showplace, Monday

The Wiggles are bringing their Big Show Tour across the Tasman along with friends Captain Featherswo­rd, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus, and Shirley Shawn the Unicorn. Tickets available through

Te Wheke, TSB Showplace, August 26

Drawing on the 21-year dance whakapapa of Atamira Dance Company and inspired by the symbology of the octopus as kaitiaki, Te Wheke was collective­ly created by the leading navigators of Māori contempora­ry dance to commemorat­e their 21st year milestone. Tickets available through Ticketek. Starts at 7.30pm.

New Zealand Internatio­nal Film Festival, Govett-brewster Art Gallery | Len Lye Centre, now until August 28

This is the eighth year the gallery has hosted the festival, and the second time it has been the sole Taranaki venue. There are 22 films across 34 screenings. Tickets to all screenings and events can be booked online or in person at the Govett-brewster Shop.
