Po­lice search for sil­ver holden


‘‘Taupo's fam­ily harm in­ci­dents keep tick­ing over with 16 sep­a­rate in­ci­dents re­ported this week.’’

Taupo Po­lice are ask­ing the pub­lic for help in iden­ti­fy­ing a Sil­ver Holden Com­modore that was in­volved in a driv­ing com­plaint at the in­ter­sec­tion of Horo­matangi Road and Ti­ti­raupunga Street at 5pm on Mon­day the 24th April 2017 just prior to a crash at the in­ter­sec­tion.

The ve­hi­cle is a Holden Com­modore coloured sil­ver. It has a boot spoiler and a tow bar. The ve­hi­cle was last seen turn­ing left onto Ruapehu Street from Horo­matangi Street.

The three oc­cu­pants of the car were wear­ing hi viz cloth­ing.

The first was in Scan­nell Street where some­one has stolen a moun­tain bike from a garage on the prop­erty. The prop­erty is fully fenced with a gate that is left open. There are no signs of forced en­try. There some bikes left out­side the garage which weren’t touched. The bike was stolen from in­side the garage.

The sec­ond was on Kaka Street. Be­tween the re­ported times, the vic­tim left their ve­hi­cle, a 2001, Sil­ver Subaru, IMPREZA, locked and parked on the drive­way, they have wo­ken and their ve­hi­cle miss­ing. Ve­hi­cle is still out­stand­ing. There was no glass or ob­jects left be­hind.

Un­for­tu­nately Taupo’s fam­ily harm in­ci­dents keep tick­ing over with 16 sep­a­rate in­ci­dents be­ing re­ported over the week. Po­lice at­tended the 16 in­ci­dents which had re­sulted in six ar­rests and Taupo Po­lice con­tinue to en­cour­age peo­ple to keep re­port­ing th­ese in­ci­dents so that we can as­sist in keep­ing our fam­i­lies safe.

There were two ve­hi­cles w stolen from Charles Cres and Tonga Street. One of those is still out­stand­ing be­ing aBlue Ford Fal­con WA9534, and the other was re­cov­ered in Ro­torua.

There were also two theft ex cars with on Gil­lies Ave where two ve­hi­cles were en­tered overnight but noth­ing taken and the other in the CBD when one of the num­ber plates was re­moved.

There were 13 re­ports of theft of prop­erty from rebel sport, farm­ers, Tech Cen­tral, Taupo Di­ary, Spa Park, and Z Petrol Sta­tion on the Napier Taupo road.
