Police search for silver holden
‘‘Taupo's family harm incidents keep ticking over with 16 separate incidents reported this week.’’
Taupo Police are asking the public for help in identifying a Silver Holden Commodore that was involved in a driving complaint at the intersection of Horomatangi Road and Titiraupunga Street at 5pm on Monday the 24th April 2017 just prior to a crash at the intersection.
The vehicle is a Holden Commodore coloured silver. It has a boot spoiler and a tow bar. The vehicle was last seen turning left onto Ruapehu Street from Horomatangi Street.
The three occupants of the car were wearing hi viz clothing.

The first was in Scannell Street where someone has stolen a mountain bike from a garage on the property. The property is fully fenced with a gate that is left open. There are no signs of forced entry. There some bikes left outside the garage which weren’t touched. The bike was stolen from inside the garage.
The second was on Kaka Street. Between the reported times, the victim left their vehicle, a 2001, Silver Subaru, IMPREZA, locked and parked on the driveway, they have woken and their vehicle missing. Vehicle is still outstanding. There was no glass or objects left behind.
Unfortunately Taupo’s family harm incidents keep ticking over with 16 separate incidents being reported over the week. Police attended the 16 incidents which had resulted in six arrests and Taupo Police continue to encourage people to keep reporting these incidents so that we can assist in keeping our families safe.
There were two vehicles w stolen from Charles Cres and Tonga Street. One of those is still outstanding being aBlue Ford Falcon WA9534, and the other was recovered in Rotorua.
There were also two theft ex cars with on Gillies Ave where two vehicles were entered overnight but nothing taken and the other in the CBD when one of the number plates was removed.
There were 13 reports of theft of property from rebel sport, farmers, Tech Central, Taupo Diary, Spa Park, and Z Petrol Station on the Napier Taupo road.
