CALLING KIDS WITH GREEN THUMBS

Creating nature collages and building paper pots for growing your own native plants are two activities for the next Kids Greening Taupo¯ conservati­on event. The next event in the series, focusing on activities about plants, is being held on Saturday September 16 from noon to 2pm, at the Waipahihi Botanical Gardens. Kids will explore New Zealand’s plants, learning how to remove weeds, proper planting techniques and having a go at making a biodegrada­ble paper pot.
