Bootleg Beach Boys drop in to Hamilton

The music of The Beach Boys remains as pertinent and relevant today as it was in their heyday and the number of you who want to see their greatest proponents – The Bootleg Beach Boys - in concert at Hamilton’s Clarence Street Theatre on Friday, August 17 is testament to that.

We’re offering up a second chance for you to win one of two double passes to take in what is going to be a truly magical experience.

The fully costumed show — that takes you right from the very beginning of The Beach Boys and through their career — will feature classic hits and cult favourites from California's most famous band.

From surf themed anthems such as Surfin' Safari and Surfer Girl to muscle car memorables like Shut Down and Fun Fun Fun, the band have gathered a truly impressive repertoire of West Coast, harmony-laden songs, that evoke the spirit and essence of the pursuit of the 1960s American dream.

The band tackle such classics as In My Room, God Only Knows, Good Vibrations and Help Me Rhonda in their hit heavy set, but also pay homage to the genius of Brian Wilson in the form of selections from the seminal Pet Sounds (roundly hailed by music critics the world over as one of the best albums ever recorded – period), and cult favourites from the legendary Smile album.
