Hot rods get out and about

-

This Saturday Te Awamutu Rod and Custom Club member Murray Peterson will be hosting the Te Awamutu Hot Rod Breakfast at Central Cafe´ — a great chance for petrolheads to catch up and for the public to see some beautiful cars parked up on Alexandra Street.

On Sunday the second TARCC Burger Fuel Car Display for this summer takes place from 10.30-1pm on Sloane Street and will feature the unveiling of the Te Awamutu Burger Fuel Promo Car — postponed from the last event due to some compliance issues with the newly landed cruiser.

Everyone with a hot rod, classic or custom car is welcome to take part and the public is invited to attend.

There is no voting for ‘best car’ this month, but plenty of Burger Fuel prizes and give-aways.

The following Saturday, November 17, TARCC is supporting Repco Te Awamutu’s Show & Shine as part of ‘Love Your Car Month’ which takes place in the store’s carpark from 10am until 2pm.

Owners of interesting rides are invited to take part — there’ll be prizes for the best cars, a barbecue and plenty of in-store deals.

Repco Te Awamutu is a valued and long-time sponsor of the Te Awamutu Rod and Custom Club.

Sunday, November 18 is the return of the club’s ‘Grab a Granny Run’ — a fun day when members take some of our senior citizens out for a cruise and lunch.
