Te Awamutu Fish & Game tree time

Te Awamutu Fish & Game is hosting its popular tree day this sunday from 9am at Pete and Jill Shaw’s nursery, opposite Pa¯terangi School.

The annual event gives farmers, hunters and conservationists the chance to buy trees for enhancement projects for wetlands, ponds, streams and woodlots.

Nine native varieties, dogwoods, hazelnut, crabapple and three varieties of oak are available. Those wanting trees should take suitable bags to protect roots during transportation.
