Parade float entries pour in

Te Awamutu Rotary Christmas Parade the biggest local event of the year

TeAwamutuR­otary have partnered with Coresteel Buildings Waikato for the biggest local event of the year— the Rotary Christmas Parade. The iconic event attracts a crowd of thousands and float entries are already pouring in.

Saturday, December 5 andwill start at 11am.

It is supported by Waipa District Council and the TeAwamutu CommunityB­oard.

Floats will be assembling at Selwyn Park before starting the route which begins onMahoeSt, then along Arawata St, downAlexan­dra St to the

MutuSt and Rewi St roundabout.

It will continue backdown Alexandra St, Arawata St andMahoe St and then along Selwyn Lane, finishing back at Selwyn Park at around midday.

After the parade there will be a children’s lolly scramble and prize giving.

There are three categories, children and youth, commercial and business and service clubs and community groups with prizes in each category and an overall winner.
