Casino night for toy library
Te Puke Citizens RSA will be transformed into Casino Royale for one night next week.
Bringing its own brand of glitz and glamour, Te Puke Toy Library will be hosting its annual casino night on September 8 — complete with Hollywood-style red carpet.
It will be the fourth time the toy library has held a fundraising casino night.
“It’s always well attended and it’s so much fun,” says president Monique Lints.
Those going along to try their luck are encouraged to dig out their glad rags as there will be prizes for the best dressed people as well as spot prizes and silent auctions.
The casino games are in the hands of croupiers from tumoetai Lions Club.
Tickets are $25 which include a drink and “play money”.
Funds from the night are being targeted at the toy library’s special circumstances membership, which is for children with disabilities, foster families, children with learning difficulties, grandparents raising grandchildren or others who may be suffering hardship.
