Focus on old-school values HIGH SCHOOL SPORT

- With BRETT JOHNSON

The sports department has received great feedback from the teachers noticing a remarkable change in behaviour, engagement and pride.

Tony Androos from Tony’s Kebab’s and Pizza approached the school wanting to support the students. Tony’s became a major sponsor providing player of the day vouchers for a free kebab to celebrate the success of the youth.

“They are the next generation. I want to recognise their achievement and for them to know anything is possible when you put your mind to it.”

The students love the vouchers, they are growing teenagers getting food made from scratch. It is a win-win scenario and so good we can celebrate the student’s achievement. Just another example of this wonderful community stepping up to help.

TPHS has had amazing support from other local businesses giving back to the school and providing warm-up t-shirts for the teams to build unity and pride, as well as assisting with tournament fees and equipment.

This support has made a huge difference in building a positive culture within the school and this cannot be underestimated.

The school would like to thank Te Puke Mitre 10, Te Puke New World, EastPack, Trevelyan’s, Tall Poppy Real Estate, Tooth Fairy Dental, ASB, Te Puke Physiotherapy and TruTest for their valued support.
