Mr Fussy’s real name is John Tissingh and he’s a carpet and fabric cleaning professional with a high standard of personal service. He relates particularly well to older folk and goes out of his way to look after customers and give them a good deal.

I don’t rush from one job to another and if people can’t move furniture themselves, I don’t charge extra for helping.
“Customers can contact me anytime and I can work on Saturdays, which is useful if they are moving house at the weekend. I just fit in with their needs.” While manufacturers recommend cleaning carpets yearly to keep them in top condition, John says it depends how heavily they’re used.
“If there’s just a couple of people in the house, every couple of years is OK. But if you have children and pets, they might need cleaning every six months.
