Iyengar Yoga
Kim is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and trains with internationally renowned teachers. She also graduated in Anatomy and Physiology and has a degree in Exercise Science.
Kim has a long history in sports, now focusing soley on yoga. She is the owner/operator of Yoga Studio KeriKeri.
The classes are small, ensuring individual attention and held in a serene studio in the centre of town – upstairs at 3 Homestead Road, KeriKeri.
The Iyengar style of Hatha Yoga emphasises alignment, sequencing, precision and the use of props. The student not only develops strength and flexibility, but a sense of mental and physical wellbeing.
The practice brings confidence, courage, clarity and understanding to the underlying principles and philosophy. Teaching is oriented towards gradual but steady progress, rather than quick and fleeting results.
Regular practice of yoga increases tone and vitality, improves circulation, co-ordination and balance, promotes flexibility and peace of mind.
For Kim, yoga is a path of transformation and absolute freedom that has far-reaching effects beyond the limits of the physical body. It is her intention to share with her students how yoga reveals the infinite source of health and joy within. It is her personal and professional goal at Yoga Studio KeriKeri.
