I like the climate. And it feels like home for us because this is family land.

I like the people and being near the water.

We’ve [Karla and husband Aaron] been back here, in Kerikeri, since December.

We were away for nine years and lived here for five years before that.

I’m originally from Auckland.

I love food so I like everywhere! But my favourite is Provenir in Paihia.

I like the artistry of food like this.

I also like the Black Olive and Diablo because I like tequila and the ambience.

Sunday afternoons, having a wine and catching up with friends and having a laugh.

And listening to music.

My mum because she is the most generous, caring person I know.

She’s taught me how to have a heart with people and she’s got a good work ethic.

She’s a real hard worker. She has taught me how to have a good work ethic. She’s the rock of our family.

I really like Takau Bay, it’s absolutely beautiful.
