So many great places in north

Geoff Tilley, guest house proprietor, Waipapa Rotary member and past president.

The Bay Chronicle - - OUT & ABOUT - What do you like about the Far North? How long have you lived here and where are you originally from? What do you like least and how can we fix it? What’s your favourite eatery? Your highlight of the week? If I were the Far North mayor I’d... When I’ve g

It’s got to be the people. We know and love many people from all walks and varieties of life.

They’ve all been lovely, friendly and beautiful people.

Fifty-five years, born and bred in the UK.

After a very traumatic but short personal tragedy I moved to New Zealand and I’ve loved every minute of my 13 years here.

It’s got to be the roads. Living on a dirt road it’s the one complaint I have.

How can we fix it?

Perhaps all roads in the country should come under the New Zealand Transport Agency and taken away from councils.

Being a guest house proprietor I like to ensure all guests get the very best from their visits and restaurants form part of that advice.

For its size Kerikeri has got a tremendous variety and quality of restaurants and it would be unfair of me to highlight one above the others.

But I enjoy eating out!

The only thing that I do every

There’s so many.

I quite like [filmmaker] Peter Jackson and I think history will look back and see that he was a pioneer and a huge promoter of massive new industry for New Zealand.

In the digital age we need to do more than export meat and milk and films is where we need to be and Peter Jackson would lead

Having come from the UK and immediately settling in Northland...quite frankly New Zealand south of Auckland is still that funny little country in the south Pacific which I must visit one day.

It’s hard to find a best place in Northland - except Northland.

There’s so many good places.

Being new to owning a dog [Rocco] I’m quite disappointed at the limitations put on taking your dog out.

While there are always bad dog owners who let the side down, if I was mayor I would make dog friendly places far more available.

I love socialising.

And refer back to my favourite eatery question and the question about what I like best about the Far North.

In the digital age we need to do more than export meat and milk and films is where we need to be and [New Zealand filmmaker] Peter Jackson would lead that.
