MUSICAL ALLSORTS

The Bay of Islands Singers and guest orchestra present Musical Allsorts at the Turner Centre on December 3 at 2.30pm. The concert, with 60 versatile singers, 29 talented instrumentalists and an inspiring conductor, has something for everyone and the chance to sing along with the choir. The music covers a wide range of genres, including Vaughan Williams’ inspired choral setting of Walt Whitman’s Toward the Unknown Region, Prokofiev’s much-loved Peter and the Wolf for orchestra and narrators, favourite Verdi opera choruses, music associated with the Last Night of the Proms.
