Aid worker freed

An Australian aid worker abducted in Afghanistan has been freed. Foreign Minister Julie Bishop confirmed Kerry Jane Wilson, 60, is safe and well. She was kidnapped at gunpoint in April from her office in the eastern city of Jalalabad. Bishop said she had been in close contact with Wilson’s family during the ordeal and was relieved by the good outcome.
