Reid at home

-

Moving from Upton Park to London Stadium isn’t to blame for West Ham United’s dismal start to the English Premier League season, according to Kiwi defender Winston Reid. Sitting just one point outside of the Premier League’s relegation zone through 14 games, many have blamed West Ham’s three win, three draw and eight loss record on the move to the 80,000 seat capacity stadium. But Reid, who has played 158 games for the team since 2010, said his team’s on-field performances had nothing to do with the move. ‘‘The atmosphere is a bit different at this stadium. Because it is so big it has just taken time to get used to,’’ Reid told the Daily Express. ‘‘But I certainly do not think it is an excuse as we played against Chelsea [in the EFL Cup] and everything was fine. I think it feels like home now.’’
