American 1970s band Dr Hook returns to Wellington as part of its New Zealand tour this year. Formerly known as Dr Hook & the Medicine Show, the band rose to fame with hit singles such as Sylvia’s Mother, The Cover of Rolling Stone and Sharing the Night Together. Dr Hook are hitting our shores in May with their new tour, Walk Right in 2017, with gigs in Nelson, Christchur­ch, Wellington and Tauranga, having last toured here in 2015. The band is still led by their original lead vocalist, Dennis Lo cori erre, whose unique voice on hits such as Sexy Eyes, led the band to internatio­nal acclaim. Dr Hook plays Wellington’s St James Theatre on May 21, Tickets are available through Ticketek.
