Pop songstress-turned-children’s music star, Anika Moa, is bringing her live show Chop, Chop, Hiyaaa! to Wellington as Part of the Capital E National Arts Festival 2017. Hot on the heels of Moa’s second children’s album Songs For Bubbas 2, Moa’s new show takes kids and parents on a magical journey of singing, dancing and imaginatio­n. The song topics include escaping wild animals, being popped in a witch’s stew, meeting a naughty, martial art so bsessed rat who lives to ‘‘chop chop, hiyaaa!’’, and a loveable rogue of a taniwha. The music also incorporat­es Te Reo, with tracks like A Haka Ma and Ete Ariki. Moa plays the one-off show at Wellington’s Opera House on March 18 at 10am. Tickets at Ticketek.
