Sisters Johanna and Brittany Cosgrove are the brains behind MastectoTees – T-shirts embroidered with the scars of breast cancer treatment – and their Nopesisters label has just launched a new design. Following the high success of the brand’s breast cancer awareness shirts, the sisters ‘‘have high hopes’’ for a new T-shirt that tackles the topic of sexual consent. Their latest charity shirt ‘‘shouts’’ a message to all genders about respecting and listening to each other during sex, with one simple word – NOPE – stitched onto black or white tees. ‘‘It’s simple,’’ Brittany says. ‘‘It’s just black and white – everyone should understand it.’’ The charity benefiting from sales of this shirt is the Wellington Sexual Abuse HELP Foundation, which works to support victims of all types of sexual abuse with counselling, advocacy and support services in Wellington and Porirua.
