English looking forward to taking a seat on Budget Day

One of the biggest events on the political calendar takes place on Thursday - Budget Day. Prime Minister Bill English says he’s particularly looking forward to getting ‘‘to sit down through the long Budget speech for the first time in nine years’’ while Finance Minister Steven Joyce delivers the lolly scramble. Last year, someone was reprimanded by Treasury for taking a photo before the embargo had lifted and the lockup was over. English said it was ‘‘taken very seriously’’ and he didn’t expect any repeats.
