Ten-year-old Macy Pau’u has spent her life dreaming of being a professional netballer, inspired by her cousin Whitney Souness, who plays wing attack for the Central Pulse. Macy, who also plays wing attack, is trying to follow in her cousin’s footsteps and spends lots of time practising every week. Through the ANZ Future Captains competition, Macy was given the chance to stand centre court with the pros at Wednesday night’s game between the Pulse and the Steel at Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua.
