Former transport boss back on agenda next week

The future of Auditor-General Martin Matthews will be considered again on Tuesday after a committee of MPs yesterday discussed his response to a report by Sir Maarten Wevers. Wevers was asked to look at Matthews’ role as chief executive of the Ministry of Transport during the time convicted fraudster Joanne Harrison worked there. Speaker David Carter said the Officers of Parliament committee ‘‘wants to consider the matter further’’.
