Euthanasia fears

-

Carol Cooper-McCord (letters, Oct 26) confirms my worst fears in regard to the so-called right to die debate. Her letter confirms that the elderly and disabled are already on the agenda as candidates for euthanasia, not just those in pain who are on the brink of death.

As many fear this is just the slippery slope to where elderly and disabled people are bullied into ending the lives so the family can speed up the reading of the will or ensure that not too much of their inheritance or taxpayer dollars is spent on caring for the sick, disabled or lonely.
