‘Boring’ advice spurs Australian

Australian Min Woo Lee boomed one drive nearly 350m, holed a monster eagle putt on the 18th and stayed true to his LPGA Tour star sister’s ‘‘boring’’ advice at Royal Wellington yesterday.

It all added up to leave the 19-year-old from Perth with a oneshot lead at the halfway point of the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championsh­ip, in the race for amateur golf’s hottest ticket: direct entry to the Masters and Open Championsh­ip.
