It’s no secret: Peters’ chief of staff Broome moved on

Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters’ chief of staff David Broome has moved on. He was in Peters’ inner circle and one of the handful taken into ‘‘the room’’ during the highly confidential talks with Labour. Broome is a former Federated Farmers spin doctor who was blamed by reporters for the shroud of secrecy thrown around the talks that saw media banned from the corridors around the negotiations. It is understood Peters’ chief secretary Judith Hughey is also moving on from his office.
