Tree crushes vehicle, killing one person

One person is dead and two others are badly injured from a tree crushing a car yesterday near Bulls in Rangitı¯kei. A tree fell on a car during a forestry operation, police reported. One person died, another was flown to Palmerston North Hospital with critical injuries and a third person had serious injuries, police said. Emergency services were called to a farm near Bulls in Pukehou Rd about 2.30pm. WorkSafe has been notified and is investigating the incident.
