Humperdinck to tour NZ

Not many musicians can boast 50 years of hits, but is one. The 82-year-old crooner, dubbed the ‘‘The King of Romance’’, will bring those five decades of hits with him when he comes to New Zealand for three shows in March 2019. Humperdinck is coming our way with his The Man I Want to Be Tour, which takes its name from his latest album, released in 2017. That album was a celebration of Humperdinck’s 50 years in music, and also served as love letter to his wife of 53 years Patricia, who suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease. Humperdinck last performed in New Zealand in 2016. He will play Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington. Tickets go on sale at noon on Monday.
