Pills linked to overdoses

Mystery green pills are thought to have caused a series of drug overdoses in Christchurch. Christchurch Hospital’s emergency department clinical director Dr David Richards said five people were hospitalised on Saturday night, apparently after taking MDMA/ecstasy. Three of the patients were admitted and one remained in hospital. Two others were treated and discharged. Richards said the symptoms included fast heart rates, hallucinations, agitation and sweating.
