CUBA PRECINCT PROJECT

-

The second stage of Willis Bond & Co’s latest development is already taking shape in the Capital’s most vibrant precinct.

Work is set to begin on strengthening the Cuba St-facing retail space in the former Farmers building and its neighbours at 104 and 106 Cuba Street, along with developing commercial office space above.

A key consideration of the redevelopment is to enhance the existing character and vitality of Cuba Street and the wider precinct.

Once completed all three buildings will have seismic ratings of 100% NBS, joining a new wave of fully compliant buildings in the Cuba Precinct.

The huge, central city rejuvenation project site, comprises the entire block from 106 Cuba Street down to Dixon Street, and bordered to the west by Victoria Street.

Eventually the precinct will link together mixed-use retail, commercial and residential buildings serviced by a central carpark.

Already in place are the new Te Auaha performing arts campus and premium retail spaces in the refurbished former Deka building.
