Happy Chinese New Year

Wellington celebrated the Chinese New Year with a roar yesterday.

A Chinese New Year parade threaded its way through central Wellington yesterday afternoon before reaching TSB Arena on the waterfront.

Hundreds lined the city’s streets for the annual celebratio­n, which also heralded the beginning of the year of the pig.
