Two new cases
Two new cases of Covid-19 have been found in managed isolation facilities, directorgeneral of health Dr Ashley Bloomfield confirms.
One is a man in his 50s who recently arrived from India while the other is a woman in her 20s who flew in from the United States.
Both were in quarantine facilities, Bloomfield said at yesterday’s daily Covid-19 press conference in Wellington.
The latest male case arrived on June 24 on Air India flight AI1316, and returned a positive result following day three of mandatory testing. The woman arrived on Air New Zealand flight NZ5 two days earlier, and is the wife of a previous positive case. She was already in quarantine when she returned a positive test result.
