Roxy Cinema presents a special screening of 1984 classic movie Ghostbusters. Includes themed Roxy pre-show and classic intermission to bring back the 80s. Tickets $11, 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

The Winter Warm-Up

Te Raukura is bringing the laughs to celebrate re-opening. See three of the region’s funniest comedians as Te Raukura presents The Winter WarmUp, hosted by award-winning Ka¯piti comedian Cohen Holloway from Boy to Thor: Ragnarok. From 7pm to 8.30pm at Te Raukura ki Ka¯piti, Coastlands Theatre, Paraparaumu. Tickets: Gold card $22, wheelchair seat: $25, general admission $32.

TOMORROW Waterfront ice-skating

Wellington’s Queens Wharf precinct comes alive as the Wellington Ice Rink returns for the fourth year to get the capital skating away the mid-winter blues. The ice rink will be open until August 2. Themed sessions offer fun and excitement, and every Saturday and Sunday the snow foam will fall three times between 10am to 1pm. Adults $20, children $15, families $55.

FREE Mittens the cat

Wellington Museum is proud to present Mittens – Floofy and Famous, a purrfect peek into Mittens’ artistic inspiration, home life and general padding about town. Donations of tinned pet food for the Wellington SPCA appreciated. On until October 11. Wellington Museum temporarily open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm.
