Go mad for marshmallows these July school holidays at Staglands. The Upper Hutt wildlife reserve’s yummy winter marshmallows are back for a limited time only. During the holidays, they will be given away for free to all visitors. Toast your own on its cosy barn campfire, and enjoy some wild cooking in the great outdoors. More information at staglands.co.nz. Capital Day has five family passes to give away. To enter, email capdaycomp@dompost.co.nz with ‘‘Staglands’’ in the subject line by the end of today. One entry per person.

My name is Amelia, and I am a beautiful girl who is looking for a forever home. I will need a large weatherproof hutch with a large grassy area to be in during the day when the weather is nice. For night-time use and for days when the weather is just too awful to be out in, I will need an indoor area or hutch. If you have a male bunny in need of a friend, I would also love to meet them.

Six minutes of sun last week, this photo shows part of that six minutes on Mt Kaukau. Taken by Barbara Mills of Ngaio.

Send your Wellington pictures in to capitalday@dompost.co.nz. If you’re on Instagram, tag them with #wellingtonnz, #capitalchatter, or #capitalsnaps.
