Two hospitalised after fight

Two men are in hospital with knife wounds after a Lower Hutt party got out of hand on Sunday morning.

Police were called to the party in Wainuiomata about 2am.

Two men had been fighting and both ended up with knife wounds. No other people were involved.

The two are in Hutt Hospital, one with minor to moderate injuries and the other with moderate injuries.

Police said the fight was possibly gang related.

Police inquiries are ongoing.
