Rain falls on more than 200 days of the year here, so there’s no shortage of moisture in the Catlins. But this has its upside in the superb waterfalls to be discovered, three of which are easily accessible via short walks through lush bush. These captivating watery gems are peaceful tranquil places – there’s something meditative about them that is good for the soul.
