The Leader Nelson edition

Grand finale for helicopter house

- MURRAY LEANING

It’s finished.

Six and a half weeks ago, we started with just a few dazzle paint marks on the ground.

Hundreds of man (and woman!) hours later, we have got a gorgeous three bedroom, two bathroom home, with designer kitchen, study, and spacious living / dining area.

A lot of thought, and care has gone into producing the best product we can, for the trust.

It has been constructed to the toughest spec in the NZ Building Code, by the Nelson Branch of NZ certified Builders, with Lumberlok Stainless steel fixings and nails, Freeman Roofing Colorsteel Maxx roof, fascia and gutters, Alpineclad treated ply and battens and Niagara Timbers wooden weatherboards, coated inside and out with three coats of premium Valspar paint, insulated with Expol underfloor insulation.

The walls and ceilings feature Pink Batts Ultra insulation.

In short, it is a top quality building, backed by a 10-year Certified Builders Guarantee.

The interior is just so cool. Ana Stevenson, our designer, from Open Home Ready, has done an amazing job of dressing the house, to make it look like a home.

Ana also colour-schemed the house and designed the kitchen.

The kitchen is to die for. Integrated appliances – granite breakfast bar, everything you would expect in a home of this quality.

Have a look at the photos from The Property Pilots, Greg and Jane, who have really captured the essence of this beautiful house.

Go to @Helicopterhousebuild on Facebook and check out the walk through video – but better still, come and see it for yourself – the house will be open from 10am-3pm Saturday and Sunday – and this Saturday is our huge public open day.

Come and collect your lucky code, and on auction day you could crack our safe and win a $1000 Mitre 10 Mega gift card.
