"We are from Japan. I went to Auckland to study, after graduation I came here. Auckland is very crowded and busy. We are happy here." I applaud the move by the DHB to recommend a ban on unflued gas heaters. I have lived in homes which used them and believe they are the worst of heating options available. The effect such heaters have on health are bad enough, let alone the safety risks, particularly around young children.
